IRISH HEALTHCARE CATERING PROFESSIONALS ASSOCIATION WEBSITE
The Irish Healthcare Catering Professionals Association (IHCPA) is a dedicated, voluntary, non-profit association that unites Healthcare Catering Professionals from various healthcare and nursing home facilities across Ireland encompassing both private and public sectors. Our core mission is to advocate for our catering team members on a national scale and to promote their professional development through enhanced educational and training opportunities.
At the heart of our efforts is a commitment to developing the catering service for patients and residents. We believe that well-trained and supported catering staff are essential to providing nutritious, safe, and enjoyable meals that contribute significantly to the overall well-being of those service users in healthcare settings.
Our association focuses on

- Advocacy: Representing the interests of healthcare catering staff in discussions with policymakers, healthcare administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met.
- Professional Development: Offering access to advanced training programs, seminars, workshops, and certification courses through partnerships to help our members enhance their skills and advance their careers and knowledge.
- Networking: Providing a platform for healthcare catering professionals to connect, share best practices, and support each other in their professional journeys.
- Quality Standards: Promoting high standards of food safety, nutrition, quality and service in healthcare catering to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients and residents.
- Recognition: Celebrating the achievements and contributions of our members through awards and public acknowledgment, highlighting the vital role they play in the healthcare system.
